The Coleman Coastline 3 Plus is a three-person tent designed to handle the elements. Offering ample headroom, a spacious sleeping area, and simple pitching, the tent is a great investment for anyone camping alone or with a friend/partner.

As a three-man tent, the Coleman Coastline 3 Plus is designed to accommodate three people in the sleeping area. However, most tents are best used when you don’t fill them to maximum capacity.

For instance, this is a three man tent so can sleep three people, but this will leave the sleeping area quite crammed, so is better suited to sleeping two people.

So, when using yourself or with someone else, the tent offers a lot space in the sleeping area. It’s got enough room to put a good few bags and other camping gear, which simply wouldn’t be possible with three people.

Granted, you can certainly sleep three people in the tent, things will just be quite tight and there won’t be much free space for equipment and supplies. Therefore, it’s best for only one or two people to use the tent so they have a pleasant sleeping area for relaxing in, although two adults and child should have enough room to remain comfortable.

Like any good tent, the Coleman Coastline 3 Plus is designed to handle poor weather conditions. For instance, the rising groundsheet offers the comfort of a sewn-in groundsheet and the breath-ability and easy cleaning of a flat groundsheet.

This is made from strong polyester so keeps out damp and cold from the ground, but also helps to maintain a pleasant environment, while being simple enough to clean when you get back home. It’s durable as well, so can handle frequent treading and the general wear and tear that comes with camping.

Furthermore, there is an optimum airflow design throughout the tent, which combines with a spare ventilation tile to create the perfect interior conditions – you’ll sleep and relax comfortably without feeling overwhelmed on those sunny days.

For the exterior, the flysheet is manufactured from polyester with 185T. This is a specially designed weather resistant fabric that is treated to repel water, protecting you and your camping gear. The flysheet also features leak-free seams, which are often an issue on cheaper tents, so it’s certainly made from quality materials that warrant its weather proof rating.

As a tunnel tent design, the Coleman Coastline 3 Plus features a single sleeping area along with a porch area at the front of the tent. This is great design for keeping supplies separate from your sleeping area, which also doubles as a recreational spot should the weather keep you inside. Those who prefer a bit of luxury have chosen this as their festival tent of choice.

The porch is quite spacious, being suitable for storing a wide range of supplies. If your boots get muddy or your jacket is wet, you can easily dump them in the porch area to keep the sleeping spot clean, fresh, and free from clutter.

At 200cm in height, the tent offers ample standing room, being suitable to stand most average sized people. Taller folks may need to slouch over, but everyone else should have more than enough standing room to keep them comfortable.

Setting up a tent is rarely an easy task, but the Coleman Coastline 3 Plus is actually quite simple to set up. For instance, there are colour-coded poles and pole sleeves that allow you to quickly establish where the poles connect – just match the colours and the tent is up in no time.

This is a great feature that many will benefit from. Better still, the inner bedroom section of the tent is already pre-attached, meaning you can simply leave it in when packing the tent away.

Of course, colour-coded poles are one thing, but being stable and secure is entirely different matter. Thankfully, the poles are made from fibreglass, making durable yet lightweight, so they can be packed away and carried in the bag without issue.

They’re strong enough to handle rough winds, but it’s recommended that you use the guy lines provided should the weather be rough – this helps to greatly increase the stability of the tent during high winds.

The Coleman Coastline 3 Plus offers a spacious sleeping area for couples or solo campers, while being very well-designed to help combat the elements. If you happen to be camping during winter or autumn, the tent will remain dry and warm throughout, while those camping in summer can enjoy a cool and airy tent that is ideal for sleeping and relaxing.
